Maroondah City Council presents the 2013 Maroondah Festival
This event has become one of the most well known names on the Melbourne community event calendar. There is no other community event in Melbourne’s East quite like the Maroondah Festival.
Each year more than 20,000 people join in the range of free and low cost activities that are on offer throughout the day including community displays, tasty food vendors, market stalls, roving entertainment and amusement rides.
Plus continuous activities at the:
- Community Expo
- Fun and Fitness Arena
- Kids Kingdom
- Eco Village
- Youth Precinct
And the new Cultural Corner!
This exciting new addition to the Festival will feature cooking demonstrations, interactive activities and performances all with a vibrant cultural theme!
Preparations for Festival are well under way and organisers are currently developing the content and program.
Get involved
Many organisations across Maroondah have been involved in a range of activities over the years and we would now like to take this opportunity to invite your organisation to participate in this year’s event.
Get your thinking caps on and start planning on how you can showcase what you do and how the general community can participate in activities on the Festival day.
Some ideas might include:
• singing, dancing and music performances
• sporting demonstrations
• come ‘n’ try activities
• exhibitions and displays
• running a food stall
